Early Morning Storm

Woke about 5 am to a flash of light and a clap of thunder. Mother Nature put on quite a show for well over an hour. Torrential rains accompanied the storm. Don't know how much damage was done. But I know at least one house was struck and caught fire and another house had a wall blown out. A reminder not to take these storms lightly.

Scary stuff. Glad you're okay.

I love watching lightning storms. Mother Nature puts on some really beautiful displays. But I wouldn't want to be out in one. Glad you weren't hurt.

I'm not a fan of thunderstorms, Amber, unless it's from a distance. Not fond of them when they're right overhead.

They're amazing to watch, Kat, but I like to watch them from a distance.

One person lost their house in a fire when the lightning went into a tranformer and travelled right into the house. It's weird. Outside the house looks fine. Inside it's burnt to a crisp.

Wow. Yeah, that's scary! Where I grew up, lightning storms were common out in the desert.

Gorgeous picture!
